Government Subsidies to Mutuals and Associations Reach 776.9 Billion Dinars Over 7 Years
Over the past seven years, subsidies allocated to mutuals and associations dependent on ministries and certain state entities have reached 776.9 billion dinars. This corresponds to an average annual amount of approximately 111 billion dinars, or nearly 30% of the state's management budget for the current year, which stands at 2,620 billion dinars. These figures come from a document by the Ministry of Finance analyzing financial aid granted to mutuals, cooperatives, and sports associations affiliated with various official structures.
These subsidies primarily aim to support allocations paid to mutuals and sports associations of cooperative employees, whether public or private.
The Ministry of Social Affairs has been the main beneficiary of these subsidies, with an amount approaching 44.8 billion dinars. Next in line are the Ministry of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly (23.1 billion dinars), the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries (10 billion dinars), and the Ministry of Finance (5.2 billion dinars).
