Fighting Speculation and Supporting Productive Investment
To combat speculation and support productive investment, the Industrial Land Agency has adopted a new strategy: reassigning unused land to genuine project holders. At the heart of this approach, the mechanism of forfeiture of rights serves as a legal tool to recover industrial wasteland and reintegrate it into the economic cycle, ensuring transparency and respect for the rule of law.
Optimizing the Process
To optimize this process, the agency has equipped itself with a high-performance information system based on the digitization of findings, the establishment of dashboards, and the digitization of archives. Thanks to this modernization, the number of findings has increased from 200 per year (in paper version) to nearly 18,000 in digital version, allowing for faster interventions and more precise monitoring.
Tangible Results
The results are tangible. Nearly 57 hectares of unexploited land have been recovered and reinserted into the economic cycle. This dynamic has also encouraged many project holders to finalize their work and move into production phase. The agency continues to provide personalized support to help them overcome obstacles, whether it's accessing financing through mortgage registration or obtaining the necessary authorizations to launch their projects in the best conditions.
Background
For reference, the Industrial Land Agency has developed around 115 industrial zones, covering an area of over 3,000 hectares. These zones are distributed between coastal regions and regional development areas and host more than 6,000 industrial enterprises in various sectors.
