50th Anniversary of the International Festival of Dougga
This year, the International Festival of Dougga celebrates a historic milestone: its 50th anniversary. For half a century, this cultural event has been showcasing Tunisia through one of the most prestigious heritage sites in the Mediterranean basin: the Roman theater of Dougga, located in the heart of an archaeological site classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the best-preserved Roman-African cities in North Africa.
A Jubilee Edition
On the occasion of this jubilee edition, which will take place from July 10 to 25, 2026, the International Union of Banks (UIB), through its Arts & Culture Foundation by UIB, reaffirms its commitment to culture by supporting the International Festival of Dougga for the third consecutive year. This loyalty is part of a relationship of trust built around a shared conviction: culture is an essential lever for social cohesion, dialogue between peoples, and sustainable heritage enhancement. The UIB, through its Arts & Culture Foundation by UIB, also supported the two exceptional concerts of international star Bryan Adams organized in May 2026 as part of the celebrations of this 50th edition, contributing to the reinforcement of the festival's international influence.
Official Launch
The official launch of this anniversary edition was announced during a press conference held on June 26, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Tunis, in the presence of media representatives, institutional partners, and cultural actors. This meeting made it possible to unveil the highlights of an ambitious program, combining heritage, contemporary creation, and openness to world cultures.
