Tunisia Prepares for 2025 Tourist Season with Ambitious Promotion Strategy

After a successful tourist season, preparations are underway to make 2025 an even bigger success. Among the actions to be taken, promoting the destination in target markets is a top priority. According to the 2025 finance law, the advertising budget stands at 42 million Tunisian dinars. Although Tunisia is an established destination, continued investment is necessary, as competitors are doing the same. Supporting the country's image is crucial to protect a sector that is more vital than ever to the national economy and balance of payments.

The biggest challenge will be identifying creative, innovative, and disruptive communication campaigns to promote Tunisia's inspiring stories. These narratives must provide a positive portrayal of the country and position it as a privileged destination in the minds of future travelers.

Choosing the right communication channels is also essential. We believe it's necessary to limit our presence in traditional media, such as European TV channels, Parisian metro stations, or certain newspapers. Instead, we should focus on alternative media and social networks, which have become the primary influence on consumers. We need to work on this axis through paid campaigns and thoughtful influencer selection.

It's also important to monitor what's being said about the country online. Tourists research the reputation of establishments and destinations not through tour operators, but through apps and community forums. Travelers share their experiences directly by rating and commenting on websites and forums. Nearly one in two travelers changes their initial destination after consulting online sources. Occupying this virtual space and influencing it is an obligation, and all our regional competitors are doing so.

There's a lot of work to be done for those responsible for this campaign. We're counting on them to maximize tourist revenue. Every euro counts.
