Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Launches Call for Applications for 30 Globalink Research Scholarships

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in partnership with the Canadian organization MITACS, has announced the launch of the call for applications for 30 Globalink research scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year. This program will enable Tunisian students in their final year of engineering to complete their final project (PFE) at a Canadian university.

This initiative is part of a Tunisian-Canadian cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening academic and scientific exchanges between the two countries. Selected students will benefit from dual supervision by Tunisian and Canadian professors, as well as administrative support from the Tunisian University Mission in North America.

The internships will take place in two phases. The first phase, scheduled between February and April 2026, will focus on the theoretical part of the project and will take place in Tunisia. The second phase, from May to October 2026, will involve the practical implementation of the PFE at a host institution in Canada. Students will receive a living allowance, access to professional training workshops, and accommodation expenses covered by the MITACS foundation.

Applications must be submitted online on the MITACS official website before September 17, 2025, at 23:59 (UTC-7). Students are also required to register on the Tunisian unique portal (www.best.rnu.tn). An important condition specifies that beneficiaries cannot combine this scholarship with another international funding for their PFE.

For more information, candidates can consult the FAQ section on the MITACS website or contact the Tunisian University Mission in North America, based in Montreal.

With this new edition of the Globalink program, the Ministry emphasizes its commitment to offering young Tunisian engineers a high-level international research experience and enhancing their employability in the global market.
