African Trade Fair: Tunisia to Showcase its Exporters at IATF 2025 in Algiers

From September 4 to 10, 2025, Algiers will host the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), a major event for African trade. This year, a Tunisian delegation of 24 exporting companies will participate, including 12 SMEs, 8 artisans, and 4 startups.

These Tunisian actors, operating in key sectors such as textiles, clothing, leather, footwear, cosmetics, construction materials, craftsmanship, and the automotive industry, will have at their disposal a 304-square-meter national pavilion. This dedicated space will highlight their expertise and products.

Additionally, a special area will be reserved for major Tunisian institutions, including the National Committee for the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF), the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Export Promotion Center, the Agency for the Promotion of External Investment, as well as the National Tourism and Craft Offices.

Preparations for this participation were discussed during an important meeting held on July 15 at the Ministry of Commerce, chaired by Samir Abid, Minister of Commerce and Export Development. He emphasized the need to simplify administrative procedures for Tunisian companies and provide them with solid support to ensure they make the most of this experience.

Organized by the African Import-Export Bank (Afreximbank) in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the ZLECAF Secretariat, the fair aims to create a unique platform for information exchange, trade, and investment within the African continent.

The IATF attracts thousands of exhibitors and professional visitors each year, offering a privileged framework for discovering business opportunities and forging partnerships. In 2025, over 2,000 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors are expected, with a projected business volume of over $44 billion.

For Tunisia, this fair represents a unique opportunity to strengthen its presence in the African market, promote its local industries, and open up new perspectives for its entrepreneurs.
