Investment Projects in Béja, Bizerte, and Médenine

During its sixth meeting of 2026, held on Monday, the Committee validated several investment projects to be implemented in the governorates of Béja, Bizerte, and Médenine. These initiatives focus on enhancing productive activities in both agriculture and fisheries, aiming to boost local economic development and sectoral renewal.

Supporting Young Farmers in Kasserine

Beyond financing productive investments, the Committee also addressed the critical issue of agricultural land access. It approved land loans specifically designed for young farmers in Kasserine.

  • Loan Amount: TND 715,900
  • Land Acquisition: 49.9 hectares of agricultural land

These credits are intended to facilitate the acquisition of farmland, enabling young entrepreneurs to establish themselves in the agricultural sector.

A Dual Approach to Agricultural Development

The APIA’s strategy employs two key levers to support the agricultural sector:

  1. Productive Investment: Funding projects in agricultural and fisheries activities to enhance productivity and value addition.
  2. Land Access: Providing targeted financial support to help young farmers secure the land necessary for their operations.

This dual approach directly impacts the conditions for development and the renewal of the agricultural sector, ensuring sustainable growth and broader participation by new generations of farmers.
