Car Sales in Tunisia: A 13.5% Rise in the First Quarter of 2025

17,439 Vehicles Sold, with a 5.9% Increase for Authorized Dealers

The number of cars sold in the Tunisian market during the first quarter of 2025, whether through authorized dealers or the parallel market, stood at 17,439 vehicles, compared to 15,343 vehicles during the same period in 2024.

Authorized dealers managed to sell 11,860 vehicles from different categories during this quarter, compared to 11,191 vehicles sold during the same period last year, recording a 5.9% increase.

According to data from the National Syndicate Chamber of Car Dealers and Manufacturers, affiliated with the Tunisian Union of Commerce and Industry (UTICA), 5,579 cars were sold, compared to 4,152 cars between March 2024 and 2025, representing a 34% increase. The parallel market, according to the same source, refers to the sale of cars by private businesses that invest in buying and reselling vehicles to the public.

Regarding popular cars, 1,632 were sold, compared to 1,453 during the same period, with an average of 570 cars sold in March 2025, compared to 526 in March 2024. Six commercial brands offered these vehicles, with a maximum price reaching 34,805 dinars and a minimum price of 28,925 dinars.

Moreover, 3,637 utility vehicles were sold during the first quarter of the year, compared to 3,296 during the same period last year, representing a 10% increase. As for tourist cars, 8,223 units were sold, compared to 7,895, with a 4.1% increase.
