Continuous Training: A Strategic Pillar for Businesses
More than just a simple obligation, continuous training has become a strategic pillar for companies today. In the face of technological changes, businesses find it a decisive means of adapting their skills, maintaining their competitiveness, and anticipating job transformations. It is also a powerful lever for retaining and motivating talent, who feel valued and see their career prospects materialize.
Benefits for Employees
For employees, continuous training is the key to securing their professional career, strengthening their employability, and thriving in their work by acquiring new knowledge.
Government Support
As part of the 2026 finance bill, the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training has allocated funding of 9.7 billion TND to continuous training activities, with 8.3 billion TND financed by the resources of the Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Promotion Fund, fed by the TFP (Taxe sur les Formations Professionnelles).
Quantitative Objectives for 2026
The quantitative objectives set for 2026 aim to finance training operations for approximately:
- 3,030 companies
- 153,700 participants thanks to an envelope of 46.5 billion TND. This amount consists of:
- 42 billion TND from the tax credit mechanism (advance on TFP)
- 4.5 billion TND from the mechanism of drawing rights
The Need for Additional Effort
Although these amounts are significant, an additional effort from companies is required, as the average cost of training is 302 TND per person, which does not correspond to the observed reality. Do companies have the means to invest heavily today? Not always.
