Chinese Automotive Components Firm Explores Potential Investment in Tunisia

Kunshan Chemitec Automotive Components Co., Ltd., a Chinese company specializing in automotive components, is currently evaluating the possibility of establishing a presence in Tunisia. The proposed project involves the creation of a production unit spanning approximately 4,000 square meters, with an initial investment estimated at €3 million and the creation of 30 to 50 direct jobs.

Project Status: In the Prospection Phase

It is important to note that the project has not yet been finalized. According to information provided by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), the initiative is currently in the prospection stage. This status was confirmed following a meeting held on September 14 in Tunis between a delegation from the Chinese company and the APII’s management.

Led by CEO Liu Yichao, the delegation presented the initial outlines of the project and discussed the conditions for a potential establishment with the APII. The agency noted that the workforce could gradually increase if the project progresses into a development phase.

Founded in 2005, Kunshan Chemitec Automotive Components specializes in wiring harnesses and protective solutions for these systems. Its product portfolio includes:
