International Banking Union Announces Key Appointments and Succession Plan
The International Banking Union (UIB) has announced the appointment of Ilhem Bouaziz, Deputy General Manager in charge of retail banking at UIB, as the new Chair of the Board of Directors of UIB Insurance, following the resignation of Kamel Néji from his positions and mandates within the UIB Insurance subsidiary.
Additionally, the governing committees of the UIB Arts and Culture Foundation and the UIB Solidarity and Innovation Foundation have taken note of Kamel Néji's resignation as their President and appointed Moufida Hamza as interim President of the UIB Arts and Culture Foundation and Achraf Fakhfakh as interim President of the UIB Solidarity and Innovation Foundation.
On this occasion, Kamel Néji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UIB, stated that his succession plan is underway and that his resignation will take effect on December 31, 2025, under all circumstances. He added, "I dare to believe that my departure will write a new, equally radiant chapter in the history of our bank... And I know I can count on all stakeholders to remain united, attached to our values, and to overcome the challenges ahead with a high level of vision. History is watching us."
Having both a long-term vision and pragmatic responses to urgent imperatives is not only a duty, but also a guarantee of future success for UIB, concluded Kamel Néji.
